Although we avoid talking about politicians I have said in the past that their decisions are open for discussion because what they say or decide to do can affect our investments - todays action is a perfect example.

This guy contacted the major banks because he was told to by an undisclosed party.

Mnuchin on Sunday released an unusual statement to say he had called the CEOs of the country's biggest banks. He said the executives assured him their banks are healthy and have "ample liquidity" to lend to consumers and businesses. "Markets continue to function properly," he said.

The major bank CEOs who spoke by phone Sunday with Mnuchin were "totally baffled" by the session, according to a person familiar with the call, who said the executives found the encounter puzzling and largely unnecessary.

"It was totally out of left field and an odd thing to do," the person said, describing the timing of the call — on a Sunday before markets opened — as strange. All were taken aback by the public nature of Mnuchin's tweet.

We knew this sort of thing was coming two years ago, a few bus riders took preemptive measures - to those that did, well done. Now just how bad can this get? You know how some poopy heads get caught out and go on a rampage and take a lot of people down with them? Jones town ? The cool aid may not be out yet but the damn ingredients have been mixed.

McTwitter ????? The moves in the market now operate from a twitter account?? DUH. What on earth would a person in his position be thinking that would cause him to do something like this? Drinking? Or is there something going on that we do not know about .....fort knox is empty, aliens have been spotted. Why was this done??
