What are you using to watch Netflix? Is it a separate box, or through a Sony TV app?

There are generally two reasons for this. One is a corrupted app, like I ran into a situation once where we were using a PlayStation 3 with the Netflix app on it, but it wouldn't work properly. The app didn't say it needed an update, but we deleted the app and reinstalled it, and all the problems disappeared.

The other problem can come from using a wireless connection that is too slow. If possible, use a hardwired one. If using wireless, it needs to be wireless N or better (currently, AC is the only higher protocol than N) and your wireless router needs to be putting out a good signal and be reasonably close to the TV without too many barriers between them, like floors, doors, walls, and such.
