My Netflix comes to my Sony TV through the same Cox Cable hook up that I get regular TV shows. Instead of using my Cox remote, I use the Sony remote which has a Netflix button on it. That switches the TV over to Netflix. It's the only way I know to get Netflix access. It is my understanding that this Smart TV has apps, if that's what's needed, already installed. I didn't subscribe to Netflix for the first year I had the TV, so when I went with it I had to finally call Netflix and they talked me through how to make it all work.. There is no wireless connection involved except for the remote control. These problems have been recurring at the rate of about 2-3 times per week and is driving me nuts.

I can access YouTube on this TV, using the Sony remote. These interruptions don't seem to occur when viewing YouTube videos, but they're not movie length.

If there is a way to reinstall software for the TV, I can't find anything in the Sony material that explains it.
