'm not sure the reversal of rotation was said to be a semi-permanent event. Just that the rotation stalls, backs up for a few days then resumes in its original direction is my understanding of that.
I guess I'll have to find it again in his videos.. I'm pretty sure I heard him say that the Earth's rotation reverse as the poles reversed.

But there is certainly evidence for temporary pole reversals, the latest being the Laschamp event of 41,000 years ago, which only lasted 440 years. But that negates Vogt's 12,068 clock cycle number by 7,000 years (48,000 by Vogt's prediction of 4 x 12,068)

en.wikipedia.org

The last permanent pole reversal was 780,000 years ago, which again begs the question as to the evidence of temporary excursions every 12,000 years.
Also, we have strong evidence of a mass extinction linked to the Younger Dryas period of 12,000 years ago. But where is the evidence of previous extinctions occurring every 12,000 years?

It may tend to negate his doom and gloom prediction of a micro-nova occurring by 2045.

Though, I do really like his explanation of Boyle's law for the existence of flash frozen mammoths.. THAT makes a lot of sense to me. Were a micro-nova to "blow away" a good portion of the Earth's atmosphere, it would make sense that the expansion of the far-side atmosphere filling the gap would lead to sudden and massive cooling from the expanding gas.
