TJ, if I was living on another planet I could care less. Unfortunate, the golden one is ushering the unknown and the Russian economy is teetering on collapse. For years 150 million people (less the well connected) live on hopes many left cities and live in small villages disconnected from reality as they could not bear it. The divide is growing fast and more and more we get close to two choices;

1. World War III which will be very brutal, and do not exclude thermonuclear and neutron bombs.
2. A very bloody uprising within Russia, with all the nice loving neighbors trying to take a piece which will ignite several local wars.

From Putin and his inner circles' speeches that are mostly ignored in the West as pure rhetoric, #1 is more likely, as the Russian elite will fight for their lives and from their perspective is the easier choice to avoid #2

The amount of clueless and ignorant people in Western countries at all levels is astonishing and their indifference toward Russia with a GDP of about 1/12 of the US is outright dangerous, google.com for the simple reason that they have the nukes to level the world several times over and the moral compass based on those speeches is at its low in decades.

Whoever does not violate Russian law no matter what he does overseas is innocent. - This statement by Putin says it all.

As to the meddling of Russia in other democracy rise the champagne glass, Israel just got its first pure ultranationalist party, more brutal than ever and of course with the help of the Russian emigre's fifth column
