Wile E. Romney retreats Don Surber
Mitt Romney's Orange Man Bad column in the Washington Post began and ended his 2020 presidential campaign much like Liz Warren's DNA test ended hers.
His attack on President Donald John Trump went so well that by the end of the day, Romney wound up on CNN backpedaling.
What a hoot.
"What I did in my op-ed was not just talk about the president and my relationship with him and how we’ll work together, but also I laid out my perspectives and priorities on a very broad basis on everything from trade to China to our allies around the world, immigration and so forth," Romney said.
Relationship?
He just told the world he thinks Donald Trump lacks the integrity, honesty, and character to be president.
Nevertheless, Mitt the Merciful is willing to work with President Trump in renaming the post office in East Flustercuck, Utah, in honor of Mia Love's father.
How poorly did Romney fare? His niece dissed him. She's the chairwoman of the RNC.
And President Trump didn't. All he said was "I wish Mitt could be more of a team player, you know? I’m surprised he did it this quickly. If he fought really hard against President Obama like he does against me, he would have won the election."
Hahaha.
The president laughed in his face. Romney now heads the Republicans Against Trump caucus, population 1.
Romney just reminded Republicans that in the past they have tried civility and lost. Then they nominated a candidate who punched back twice as hard and won, and once in office he did not stop fighting back and he has accomplished many things.
Oh Warren is still running for president. She has a large staff to feed and donors are begging to be misled. But she has a 1/1,024th chance of winning.
Which is better than Romney's chances.
