Stromboli volcano
"Already in a phase of elevated activity and a warning having been issued a week ago, the activity of Stromboli volcano (Eolian Islands, Italy) further increases on the evening of 5 Jan 2019: several vents in the summit area are active at once, in particular the NE cluster of vents seen in the foreground where a new cinder cone is growing and continuous lava spattering as well as larger explosions with red hot lava occur. Magma column inside the conduit stands high, ready perhaps to produce an overflow in the near future!"
