I can see from your data that CO2 has a narrow band of infrared absorption, and there are plenty of sources that confirm the characteristic. So yeah water vapour may well play a role way above 95% in the "global warming" debate. In the winter, a clear day versus a cloudy day, and especially at night, is an illustration of what is happening temperature wise. It is colder on a clear night as all the heat just vamooshies straight up to the stars in the form of radiation. On a cloudy night the clouds only pass a small amount of it up to the stars and blesses us with the balance in the form of a reflection.

Rather then use an environmental science source, I found a good paper on Infrared absorption in the atmosphere at various altitudes for fighter aircraft. They use infra red sensors for various military purposes so I am interested in their view. It is an oldie but goldie. Circa 1998 with references to lots of preceding work.

I found the contents fascinating. Looks at all the factors generally, and probably critically reviewed by peers with out any "climate change" bias which I am most wary of.

I don't know about anyone else here but money does talk when it comes to science. Research grants sources can be problematic when it comes to the real science and the reality is administrators have to strike a balance. I think the debates and scientific studies on tobacco and lung cancer illustrates that point very well. When it gets to publishing the results in the press well..... I will let the good doctor in this photo do the talking.

So looks to me that aerosols are the real unknowns. Big known interaction effect with water in the atmosphere. Now those may well have a large human impact on the "Greenhouse Effect" but that is not CO2. It's the creation of more water particles in the atmosphere, and a belch from any volcano would swamp anything even the Chinese could throw up.

AND of course all absorbers of infra red radiation have a double edged role. They can stop infra red getting in.

btw I must congratulate your President Trump in his efforts to bring about world peace. North Korea and Syria look most promising and I wish him well on those projects. Same with the wall, he is doing exactly the same things... said the same things.... as Obama, and the Clintons have said. (exact same things), I do not understand the opposition as all. The press are clearly illustrating to me they do not report accurately on the "news" but are just a propaganda tool. Nothing else, they really are the pits. Trump may not have the charisma to charm the press, BUT he is playing them effectively. . Trump has a great team backing him of course. Anyone who is on the side of humanity would be saying the same thing imho.
