I was impressed that he would respond to upset investors and set the record straight. And it is one of the competitive advantages they offer...let me explain.... IMCX is a small yet publically traded integration company. This is a positive from a competitive standpoint as most smaller players in the integration/implementation business are not bound by the rules of SEC etc. They tend to play fast and loose within deals and tend to leave unsatisfied customers in their wake.

This also allows IMCX to compete with the more stable, profitable integration houses like AMS but by being small, are more nimble and more apt to provide the customer with the solution they are looking for .

On the product side, there are also a few perspectives. IMCX uses Filenet and Oracle as the foundations for the applications. These are robust, stable companies and products. Some of the other players in this space have "homegrown" systems which tend to be either very propreitary or "one off systems" (meaning each system is built specifically for each customer, these are horribly unmaintainable and prohibitively expensive to upgrade). Upgradability and maintainability issues are very important for the folks that are implementing these solutions and the path IMCX has chosen provides both. The serious competition IMCX faces comes from the companies that have used the same robust foundation , these are AMS, IPD and Lanvision with Lanier announcing a deal on Friday to move to a Filenet backend.

Hope that helps
