It seems like yesterday that Japan was supposed to be the world's biggest. Now an also-ran. Just a couple of generations ago that Japan and Germany thought they'd take over the world. USSR was number 2 for decades with pretensions of grandeur albeit in a gulag totalitarian centralized power way. No doubt some more history will happen, up close and personal as I have experienced. What we think will happen and what does happen can be wildly different, even though one works assiduously to go in a particular direction. Mqurice
