Money magazine (Feb. 98) has a five-page article called "The Year 2000 Bug and You." Two quotes:

"It's time to check your investments, funds, bank, credit cards, home computer and more to avoid the worst of the year 2000 bug."

"Since the Financial Accounting Standards Board has ruled that all Y2K
costs must be expensed in the year incurred, the biggest hits to the bottom line for many firms will come this year and in 1999."

Surprisingly, the article does not talk about Y2k stock companies.
