If you are attaching ANY EIDE or ATAPI or SCSI drive to your computer, you will have to read and follow the instructions included with it, and you will probably have to configure jumpers and/or switches on the drive and/or your existing drives. That's just a fact of the current state of computer technology.

Or, since price is no object to you, you could just pay someone to do it for you.
