Thanks for the smiconductor link.

You are right to point out that Japan is going to be the link in the next couple of months on whether Asia is going to recover or will still be smouldering in its 'turmoil'.

Just two days ago, Japan has reclassified its bad debts provision and the amount is now stated to be $753b (compare this with $156b during the S&L debacle in the US in 1980s).

Indonesia remains the problem kid, notwithstanding the recent 'new' IMF agreement.

There are also a lot of negative commentaries regarding the IMF/US bail-out in regional editorials.

Bankruptcy 'rumours' are surfacing in Singapore (lately, the largest real estate developer is implicated).

It may take a while more before Asia stabilises. Good news (short term) is that CREAF trades on the Nasdag. Still looking to a run-up prior to earnings!
