Last year my mid and long term outlook for AMD was quite bearish.
While I still suspect that it's a probable outcome, I'm no longer as

certain.

INTC seems too confident that trailing edge technology will be sufficient
to maintain their advantage indefinitely ignoring the size, price and speed
advantages that AMD and others will have with 7nm.

I'm reminded of my working years when we talked about the sector as

"IBM and the BUNCH".

Burroughs, Univac, NCR, CDC and Honeywell are no longer active in the

sector. DEC came and went after that phrase was common. And IBM

is not the dominant force in the industry. Is a similar fate possible for

INTC? Yes. I don't see it as likely yet, but I do have to recognize the

possibility.
