I do believe in good subsidized education and healthcare.. This is NOT altruism on my part.. I am a hand up believer.. The well is not endless.. I am Not a hand out proponent.. Too many dopes get into positions of power/leadership due to birth not ability.. Not good for the species.. I do not want my kids/future possible grandkids to live in a bladerunner/robocop dystopia..

We have a problem with elected governments in Canada and the US.. I will eschew the republic vs democracy debate as it is moot for my purpose.. The governments promise much but deliver little.. Keeping citizens divided.. Regardless of flavour.

I see the choice as some type of UBI or the dystopian future I fear is coming..

There however should not be money for nothing.. That is simply a great Dire Straits tune :)
