Hi Steve,
I don't think my thoughts count for much, but you asked...
Most contest entries are powered by small cap, 12-month binary, sticks of biotech dynamite. In my view, relative to last year at this time, those companies today are at much, much better prices. Better sentiment for tech in general might simply give those stocks a 50% push, then add what a clear clinical success can do.
I am not qualified to assess the prospects of anyone's picks, but looking at dnajoe's entry (most of which I've never heard of), for example, it wouldn't surprise me if things go right it might be up 500%. Many others share the same qualities. You'd have to agree that if tril ever actually shows something deeply meaningful it could go up 10x and still be cheap. And I've never heard of plx before, but at $.31/share, with debt=cash and life or death clinical readout coming, holy bombshell. It was once around $4 and not all that much seems to have changed other than finding a partner. By the way, I admire all of those choices AS CONTEST ENTRIES, but I'd be terrified to own them myself.
I have no idea who 2019 winner will be, not likely to be me, but I'll stick with my 300% prediction. |
