We know what's important about the climate from the standpoint of physics, geology, and astronomy,, so now it's a matter of deciding what we are gonna do about it, which is political. The current US policy is " FWCW, make it worse". The policy of some states and many countries is, "Let's be totally FF-free by 2045-50, and then find ways to pull CO2 out of the atmosphere."

Might as well say our lives all spin around O2, H20, or photosynthesis. Our lives spin around the biosphere. An increased level of CO2 is changing conditions, to the detriment of most species.
