You know how to tell when somebody is a denier, and not a sceptic? S/he says something like "IPCC [The church of CO2]". If you want to find some faith-based climate liturgy, check out Heartland Institute.
"i.e. what is more important here, winning an argument that has some political component, or finding out climate wise what is important and what is not important." We know what's important about the climate from the standpoint of physics, geology, and astronomy,, so now it's a matter of deciding what we are gonna do about it, which is political. The current US policy is " FWCW, make it worse". The policy of some states and many countries is, "Let's be totally FF-free by 2045-50, and then find ways to pull CO2 out of the atmosphere."
"Are you interested in helping the human race maintain the planet Earth, with all it's wonderful fauna and flora, habitable for our offspring in the future ? "
I'd like to not fuck things up so badly that we kill most life on earth with one of our waste products
"our lives, all spin around Carbon Dioxide" Might as well say our lives all spin around O2, H20, or photosynthesis. Our lives spin around the biosphere. An increased level of CO2 is changing conditions, to the detriment of most species.
"some fat bankers who like to control the prices of fossil fuels" More like some fat FF purveyors who want to sell us all their carbon, at any price, before we do something. No stranded assets for that crowd; their motto is "we sell doubt". Message 31416412 |
