Well, the coal polluters were the first on the chopping block. The coal burning power stations were turned off , one by one, stopping the SO2 laden acid rain, reducing the particles, and cleaning up the air. The temperature went up, as discussed in the previous message. Coal burning was cooling global temperatures, when it stopped, temperatures went up. However the Chinese were opening a new coal burning power plant ever week for some years. That hit China more then us. By the time the effluent has crossed an ocean, the natural chemical scrubbers (clouds and rain) have washed nearly all of it out, making the air all nice a clean again. A pity about the mercury that gets into the fish though. Not saying that turning of the coal burners was a bad idea, I just don't see the CO2 argument at all. Meanwhile, have a look at this Orwellian piece. If you detect any errors in it I will contact Corbett and ask for them to be corrected. I am a subscriber, and he does correct mistakes. youtube.com
