Lisa, On further consideration, I can imagine much more discreet computer to trader interfaces that wouldn't alert the client you have to ignore them for a moment and systems that would operate in the background during the course of one's day...

1. clothing that tugs on you, to get your attention, and phones that know its time to dial the broker and tell you there's someone on line.

2. trading feedback epidural drug delivery systems that provide pleasurable experiences for winning trades and unpleasurable ones that accelerate the desire to exit

3. the usual things like glasses with built in crt displays with realtime news and prices from the cbot etc.

4. subliminal voices constantly prepping one's winning attitude as a sort of sidekick motivational speaker.

As the ability to trade in markets increases, one's assets will become increasingly vulnerable in shorter windows of time. Yes there will be the equivalent of airbag trading deployments as one cruises through InvesterSpace. There will also be a new phenomena called random acts of joy and despair seen in public places as someone finds they're suddenly richer or suddenly poor.

Brave New World..
