"Real scientists have to resign"
No; real deniers decide to resign.

"they are no longer unbiased custodians of science"
If, by they, you mean the people who resign, you are correct. Here is what Newton's Royal Society says; it's very similar to what Lincoln's National Academy has to say on the subject.

Consensus statement on climate change - Royal Society
CONSENSUS STATEMENT ON CLIMATE CHANGE. 12 MARCH 2018. The world's climate is changing, and the impacts are already being observed

"tell me there is not reason to be concerned"
There is plenty of reason to be concerned; why would anybody rely on the Daily Caller for science, instead of upon the Royal Society? Why would you believe a guy with a BA in English and a Masters in Anglo-Irish literature instead of the Royal Academy, or for that matter, every international academy and scientific organization on the entire planet?
