1/16/98 Volpe Brown Ups CheckFree To Strong Buy From Buy ...Volpe was very active in the trading of this stock and most likely a key player in the early selloff Schmedley, Thank you for bringing this information to the thread. My understanding is that you were watching trading on Nasdaq Level II and Volpe Brown was on the selling side. Please correct me if I'm wrong. If I am not wrong, then Volpe's "selling while upgrading" means only that they organized "suckers rally" to dump their own (or their client) stock for whatever reasons. If this is true, it is safer to sell short the stock on Tuesday than buy it. TIA
