I think you're exactly wrong on this. It doesn't matter though, because Trump could give a shit about his deplorables, who'll never blame him, the poor non-college educated whites, like locogringo.

I think the MCConnell will cave before Pelosi, and let Trump know he needs to re-open government or he'll allow a vote to do so, which will pass by a veto-proof majority. Mitch knows this shutdown is all Trump.
