An Airliner (or several of them) crashing into the WTC's would be like a pencil being pushed through a fly screen. It would have no effect on the perimeter support, never mind the central core, which was even more massive. Even a pencil is a bad analogy, it's more like pushing a cigarette, first emptied of tobacco, so only the thin tube paper case remains, and pushing it up against a well constructed fly screen made of steel wire. There was a problem with asbestos in the WTC buildings and it wouldn't have taken much to have the place condemned. It was condemned and so were the people inside it with a criminal insurance scam.
