Sable and I belive Terra Nova are gas fields. These were built for oil fields, probably near Hibernia. Looks like DBCO paid $1 for Davie. This is not that unusual. Friede Goldman (FGII) just completed a similar buy on a ship yard in Newfoundland. biz.yahoo.com This one way for Canada to keep these yards open. I think the problem is that these yards, although profitable, take a lot of cash flow to maintain and Domionion Bridge doesn't have it. Whoever acquires them will need enough cash (or financing) to be able to handle these big projects. David
