So tax the most productive part of our economy to pay for the people who work least. Hmm. That's Socialism at its absolute worst. Destroy the incentive of our most creative and innovative people and reward the laziest and least accomplished among us. This is another reason why Socialism doesn't work. It's not just mathematics. It's a flawed philosophy. It goes against the very essence of what it is to be human.

Capitalism taps into what is best about humans and creates an environment where everyone has the ability to maximize their potential. You are free to succeed and free to fail. Of course, abuses can happen and government should step in to minimize fraud and criminality, as well as to ensure a level playing field. But to the victor go the spoils.

Socialism thinks utopia is possible on earth, so they try to regulate an impossibility into existence. The other absurd assumption is that a small group of people at the top know what is best for everyone else. So the nanny state is born and freedom is destroyed. In order to ensure the least among us are safe, they must destroy the best among us. It's akin to chopping off the heads of the tallest people to make sure no one feels short. It's stupid and destructive and it never ends well.

In the verdict of history, Capitalism beats Socialism EVERY time when it comes to lifting the most people out of poverty and delivering the most freedom to people at the same time.
