I believe that Iomega will benefit greatly from the Asian problem as the USA's article below indicates . This has been alluded to before on the main thread by Steve Wiz and others but no one has put any numbers to it .

The benifits to Iomega, I believe , has been under estimated as to how this will effect Iomega's long term profit picture and ability to cut prices to the OEM's in 1998 .

ASIA'S ECONOMIC WOES WILL LEAD TO LOWER PC PRICES

Because Asian countries provide the world with vast quantities of personal computer components (including memory chips, motherboards, disk drives, CD-ROM drives, and floppy drives), already-cheap PC prices are dropping even further because the plunging Asian currencies are allowing American manufacturers to get more value for their U.S. dollars.
