Jack, I understand your cynicism, but I believe that if enough people voice their outrage, it will work. I now that during the early days of Clinton's administration I sent him a number of missives, voicing my outrage at the slaughter of Muslims in Bosnia and the whole concept of "ethnic" cleansing, I also pointed out the danger of an "moslim/christian" conflagration arising from the presence of Iranian and Libyan volunteers in Bosnia. I am sure that ny voice was not particulalrly powerful (the Japanes are not listening to my advice either) but if enough people voice their concern, we might have the power. After all, we are voters.
