Agree with you on the limits to Fed power, but the power they do have is 100% used to prop up the big banks and protect the banksters when they commit crimes. I've always believed in Ron Paul's effort to first audit the Fed and then ultimately end the Fed. We don't need the Fed. We need true Capitalism wrt the banks. If they fail, then put them into bankruptcy and sell off the parts. If they commit crimes, revoke their charters and imprison the CEOs and other executives involved. Don't bail them out with newly printed Fed dollars and impoverish the 99% to make the rich even wealthier. It's a crime against humanity how Bush Jr and Obama, the Treasury and the Fed, and all their lackeys responded to the 2008-9 financial crisis. They did EVERYTHING wrong. The outcome is that 10 years later we sit here with none of the root causes resolved and the rich, richer than ever, and the rest of the country on the brink of Socialism. Massive injustice and inequality have consequences. There is a direct causal link from that to the people wanting Socialism. Our leaders have failed to implement justice, and thereby, safeguard Capitalism. So Capitalism is being blamed and Socialism is being extolled.

I just watched Steven Colbert's interview of Ocasio. She is so damned cute, photo-genic, and articulate in her positions. Meanwhile the GOP (Grand OLD Party) is a bunch of old walking dead white men. Do we really think these guys are going to be able to defend Capitalism and conservative values effectively against Ocasio-Cortez? Watch the Colbert interview. There is no chance in HELL that they win against her.

Conservatives in this country are in very real existential trouble and they don't even realize it. As a centrist, moderate, with conservative economic beliefs, I am very worried about the world Ocasio, with her pretty face, will lead this country to. We'll all go smiling right over the edge of the cliff.
