Hi Larry:
I find that call on the Canadian dollar by Armstrong pretty scarey
and I have a hard time believing that the US would let it happen.
From what I have been reading, Canada's is less reliant on resources.
It has some fantastic high tech companies etc...if their dollar went
that low..can you imagine the stampede of US companies to take advantage of the wage differentials..can you imagine the deflationary
influence on the USA..
At this point I know anything can happen because nobody appears to
care about any long term consequences.
Also about his silver call, I thought I had read that the lawsuit
was tabled..maybe the article was wrong, but I did hear on CNBC
a commodities analyst say that he did not think that there was
manipulation and the supply side warrants the higher prices..
Again, at this point..who can one believe..
perception,perception,perception
another interesting article in Barron's about Japanese no longer
gobbling up bonds and bankers have more control now for borrowing
costs...that certainly is a major change in the trend..
I wondered why interest rates hadn't gone up with so many borrowing
so much..
