Re -- with no original thoughts or substantiation.

Were you aware that CPQ's presario's had components SQUEEZED from 2nd tier vendors. Most top tier brand names undergo their own extensive testing (after all they have a name to live up to).

Remember when you buy a Presario, you are getting non name components, and with the support for this gone, the poor consumer is left with garbage on their hands.

This type of poor service will definitely have an impact when it comes to the upgrade, and word of mouth.

CPQ may be trading shortterm gains for long term profitability. And everyone on this thread will be well advised to watch out for this.
