Yes, we were practicing abstract thought. Myths were our training wheels, but now it is time to take our training wheels off.

As James Burke and Robert Ornstein said in their book :"the Axe Makers Gift", when we learn about facts and logic myths start being replaced, and it is long overdue for at least our educated folks to face reality.
