Well, we should probably be more interested in how we disagree. I find it fascinating that we both, liberals I assume, or maybe not?,looked at the same thing and saw such a different picture of what is going on.

I watched it a second time on my TV last night to make sure I was seeing what I thought I was seeing.

Here is what I saw a second time. The same thing I saw the first time-lol. They are good friends and were just messing around by jokingly arguing. Maher would ask a serious question about Trump and then she would make some crazy shit up e.g. he asked if she would run for president. She quipped, "no I don't believe in women working". That is humor.

An old friend of mine, an anthropology professor whom I lived with in graduate school, with whom I argued all the time, and who was very funny, and a huge environmentalist, would tell me:" you would be Ok with cutting all the trees down, to show I was not sufficiently concerned about the environment. And then I would say something equally exaggerated and we would both laugh. That is what they were doing.

If you noticed they were both laughing all the way though it. I used to have friends where we would debate in a heated way, and exaggerate our exasperation at the others answer and then laugh out loud at the other answer, and then look for a funny "exaggerated" way to "cut them low".

She said: I don't think he tells the truth or something like that and Maher said: "what was your first clue-lol. That was a joke. Maher is a comedian and was trying to be funny all the way through as was she.

Then she talks about how Trumps lies are puffery, and she liked them, and he said, but what if he lies about something serious e.g. his collusion with Russia, and Putins involvement in Venezuela, and the Monroe Doctrine, then she flippantly said, "Putin is no danger, Reagan defeated Russia and do you know where there is real danger it is on the , Texas, Arizona border, etc.

That was her funny response.

Maher would say something and then she would counter with a "cut low" as it is called in the streets. They were exchanging barbs and amusing themselves.I think he said something about when they were in bed later on he could be Kelly Ann and she could be her husband. A joke.

Maher had control of that all the way through and was laughing. They were both laughing all the time. Then when he went to his panel he went "whew"-lol. Meaning it was a tough tussle he just went though.

But meant as humor again. They were just having fun.

PS humor is the juxtapositioing of reality.

Koan, that's fine that we disagree. I love and respect Bill Maher as well,
but I flatly don't see what you see on that last show.
