I know collapses and grand solar minima are related but a magnetic polar excursion hasn't been associated with any historical socio-political upheavals of the last 2000 years. (a hail storm caused the first pause of the 100 yrs war...“Black Monday” in 1360 at the onset of the Wolf Minimum) As far as I know, the most recent pole event would have been at least 12 to 14 thousand yrs ago. Unless I'm not getting your point.
