Young people are screwed, old people are doing well.

Relatively speaking as a population group.

Not true for many individuals.

Poor seniors (the renters and asset-limited so to speak) vs. rich kids - especially kids of the privileged rich.

Poor kids (by luck, by tilted playing fields) vs. rich seniors (sometimes merited to a point, but out a standard deviation often luck or subsidized by privilege.)

Both bell curves - one skewed a little more due to the tax laws and senior social nets (seniors vote, kids do not.)

We have to be careful of drawing conclusions from broad statistics.

I am also over-generalizing.
