Remember Stacker? How about Central Point Anti-Virus? Then there's Norton Utilities (before DOS/Windows started "integrating" every single function that software had). There's also a 3D development company that got screwed by Microsoft because microsoft went out and bought (then integrated) the same 3d features in Windows. In fact, one the of next companies I can see being crushed by Microsoft will be the developers of pkzip (pkware?).

On a related topic- electric cars. Imagine you developed one and decide to market it, then the largest automakers comes out with these vehicles and sells them below cost (it's well known they'll be losing money on every single one for the forseeable future) would that be fair? ;)
