Jerry o buddy,

Had a good meeting with Bernard in DesMoines today but told him that
I was sorry you couldn't be there even though he doesn't care about
any of the shareholders. I saved you a napkin from the restaraut however as a token of appreciation and had him autograph it with his
signiature. Just because Jerry that we still care.

They are starting to get some info back from some of the potential
finaniers and he believes they might get back an answer from one of
the parties late this week. He meets Feb. 3rd in Indianapolis with a
HMO group that they have already talked to as they really like the
Avalon team and their kiosk model they have seen demonstrated. They
are also aligning themselves with a group that is possibly going to
let them do a spinoff magazine which would target the pharmacutical
companies with no upfront costs to AVAL. Bernard believes that AVAL
can get 20% of the kiosk market if not more over time. Obviously right
now their biggest hurdle is getting this financing which will give them established markets in 12 states and help build their credibility
when they agressively attack the North American markets and HMO's.
Currently they have an operating budget of 30,000 a month which is
reasonable at this stage. They have been financing themselves with
a 504 pp and did raise 270,000 late in 97 with 1 million shares with
warrants attached at 50 cents and 1.00 restricted for 1 and 2 years.
There is alot of potential markets in the kiosk industry and they will
be looking at others in 1998 as things develop and as revenues start
to kick in. I feel the business plan of AVAL is realistic and I believe that this first acquisition will be an indication of how they
can further pursue other deals and build a successful company. They do
appear to have others in the background with the financial abilties to
help them as the need arises but right now are looking to finance through a venture capital group. Anyway any of you can help Bernard and AVAL through any of your contacts in the medical field or friends
who have ties to that field or an HMO I encourage you to pass it on
to the company. I might add since I have been priveledged to meet Bernard personally many times I feel his experience in media publishing and his professionalism along with his gentleman like appearance is very appealing to people he meets and it creates good
relationships and that to me is a great benefit to this company.
