Actually Rocky, ZipPlus in SCSI mode is about as fast as the PP Sparky, and internal Zips are only a little slower.

Sparky has not yet been out long enough to establish a track record. I only bought my Zip after they had been out a year. Something tells me David is not a bleeding edge kind of guy. If not, he may want to wait and see how Sparky's reliability stacks up over time.

And you know as well as we do from initial reports of Sparky software that it has or had bugs, at least if you believe the WSJ.

And you also know that a poster on the SYQT thread told how Sparky seems to have problems with seating the cart in the drive, such that it must be nudged or ejected and reinserted to work sometimes.

Not big stuff, but not bug free either. Enough to dissuade me from being a Sparky-trailblazer.
