If one was planning to bring up such a question during the conference call, I believe it would be proper to advise the company in advance so that they can be prepared to address it.

Also a question of this nature would be best presented by the one who has thought it through. It would require some setting of the stage so that others on the call would know the rational of the question.

If the company's response was less than enthusiastic, a good follow up would be an open ended question on what the company plans to do instead during the near term to elevate share price.
