Speaking of Bill Gates Fun

The NYTimes had a big front page article, the point of which was that Gates hadn't thrown his money around in the right places. Hadn't hired the right connected establishment lobbiests, opinion makers and Washington flacks. It was practically a solicitation of manna under the motto "Us NY boys could have made you come out smelling like roses but ya just didn't want to give us da money. Ya didn't think ya needed us." The rest of the article was a tour-de-force of Microsoft as victim.
After I read this article I was practically in tears. I just wanted the justice department to stop persecuting this great company and I was ready to open my checkbook and send those poor unappreciated NYTimes copy generators (would be writers for Slate?)a check in appreciation of their principled stand in defense of persecuted and misunderstood Great Men.

Hell if I were Gates I'd found a religion. Ass kissing. My ass.

Fortune commissioned its
own nationwide polls, which were
conducted between Jan. 5 and Jan. 7.
They show that Microsoft does
indeed have immense popular
support. Americans love Microsoft.
They love its products. They admire
its CEO.

Sounds like Chaiman Mao in his prime.
