I'm always leery when the price of a stock goes up into the earnings announcement:

screencast.com

Their last webcast showed income dropping with the sale of their cryo division.

That being said the income growth of 2019 is supposed to catch up to the level of 2018 (with the cryo unit).

Since then they have bought Genewhiz and that is suppose to be additive.

The sale of the cryo biz will add 675 million to the coffers (not sure if they'll pay down the debt incurred with the Genewhiz acquisition.

I'm braced for a decline in earnings and price! I continue to believe the life sciences will add stability to the always present semi equipment cycles.

That being said, I'm holding my nose and braced for a longer term 12-24 month view.

I'm sure not smart enought o know who they'll buy with the 675 million in cash they'll add with the sale.

My nephew's wife is a nurse in Genetic child care in a large Chicago children's hospital. She knew of bio banks but not Brooks. So there are acquisitions and market share yet to be gained.

A roll up of the best clinics with in house bio banks, and pharmas with bioscience divisions no doubt is a fast growth sector.

I may be too buy and hold here, but I'm holding and not paying big taxes on gains made so far.

I hate it when price goes up into earnings announcements and the brokerage houses say the new price target is in the 40 to 50 as the stock trades at 30. I just do not trust their free advice ever!

I'm OK with the dividend on my cost basis and going to let this one run.

Best of trades to those more nimble than I am!

Bob
