My end-of-day download of my entire database from Yahoo! in ProTA 4 goes really slowly. I also can download from Dial Data in ProTA 4 (I have a subscription). The Dial Data download in ProTA 4 is equally slow. I can go to ProTA 3.25 and the download from Dial Data is as fast as always (somewhere between 5 to 10 times faster than the same database in ProTA 4). I have several Chart Suites in ProTA 4 that have 100 tickers in order to get below the 100 ticker limit in intraday downloading. Downloading in 100 ticker chunks is fast. The fact that the slow performance affects both Yahoo! and Dial Data tells me that the problem is in ProTA 4, and not a problem at Yahoo! My database has 2200 tickers so the problem probably kicks in at some number of tickers between 100 and 2200.

It hasn't always been this way. At first I didn't pay much attention to the increase in download time, so I'm not sure when it started.

Has anyone else noticed this problem?
