SB:
I agree with your comments with respect to the "subtract" side of the equation.
With respect to inventories, this one should have been addressed by the company at least two quarters ago. Probably won't happen until the auditors scream, but it is inevitable, and it will be nasty.
The depreciation and amortization is what moved it from 8 to 9 on our scale (g)
It got to 10 when MU decided to approach the government for the nth time with another dreary "dumping" charge, (which will go nowhere, given the strength of the PC box builders' lobby which loves the current state of affairs). More expenses with a nil payback. Perhaps MU could move it to the U.S. Supreme Court, where certain Asian memory producers already have an ongoing hub-bub underway. (g....also true)
It got to 11 when "Dear Abby", leaned into the television cameras and without even grinning, allowed that she liked Micron. I'd be surprised if she ever asked (or was told) what type of corn or potato "chips" Micron produced. Even the worst promoters usually have a "buy because" list. Goes to show that the women's liberation movement is really making progress when even the traditional male role of pimp is now accessible to qualified women.

Best, Earlie
