Good to hear from an experienced user. I am not naive enough to
think that presidential candidates, car dealers, and satellite
system promoters are above a little "innocent" obfuscation.
I'm looking closer at the offer now and find it states...
Full direct duo system includes: $700
-Ant. w/universal mount
-Direct PC 32bit PCI card
-Direct PC Personal Ed. Sftwr
-Hughes brand enhanced DSS receiver (A-23)
-a universal lighted remote

The Direct PC dish, PCI card, and Direct PC receiver
is offered separately for $300

An upgrade is also offered, making the $300 Direct PC
effectively a "Duo" for, you guessed it
$400

Needless to say I do not intend to purchase any of these
products. My needs do not justify it. I feel by the time
internet download becomes economical, DISH will probably
be my provider, even if a specialised (or even 2nd) dish is
required.

Are there any contradictions to these descriptions, vague
omissions that would mislead?
Your opinion as an experienced user of this equip. is appreciated.

Once again, DISH has the superior system, IMHO.
