Charles Duan should explain how it is that the alleged monopolist Qualcomm has a tiny market capitalisation compared with the total of the poor brutalized behemoths Apple, Intel, Samsung, Huawei, Xiaomi, ZTE, Nvidia at al which add up to a few $trillion compared with Qualcomm's less than $100 billion.

Normally a monopolist gets to charge the big bucks and the customers pay as required. Qualcomm would be 10x bigger than Apple rather than a tenth the size of it.

He says there shouldn't be quibbling over royalties. I agree. Qualcomm's derisory royalties should be paid and appreciative thanks offered too.

I would have charged at least 16% royalty as for the GSM cartel, not 3% which is ridiculously low. 1% per patent is normally considered a reasonable price. Qualcomm provides thousands of patents and has enabled the biggest thing in not just human but biological history.
