More diversification or More racism
Doubling down on hate and choosing reverse. Alberta had 45 years of uPC rule and they fought every effort at diversification. The uPC ridiculed those who pointed out that relying on the oil industry was not smart. After 45 years they managed to do nothing for Alberta and when the price of oil fell and everyone got fired or laid off immediately, they blamed the new government, refusing all responsibility. Since that crash in the industry they have done little beyond explain we should choose reverse and put them back in charge. They season that with a healthy dose of racism that continues every day in the usual uPC fashion, do it and then deny it was them. Get photographed with the Soldiers of Odin, then pretend not to know who they are. I am not the only one in Alberta appalled. After 45 years we have nothing, the oil companies took billions of dollars of annual profits just a few years ago, they are shuttered now because they are not here for Alberta, they are here because they are greedy bastards and they own Jason Kenney and his band of shills and hucksters.
Premiere Notley continues to act in the best interests of all Albertans. The NDP can put aside partisan bullshit to honour Albertans who deserve to be honoured because they loved this province, not drop-ins who claim they live in their mothers basement to "help out", ridiculous. Alberta is diversifying and the efforts are real, a plastic plant, a pelletized bitumen plant, real solutions that should gain traction, providing real answers, engaging with marginalized communities and Albertans in a real way. A party that can grasp the bull by the horns and get results that work for Alberta, not just for a few politicians or the oil industry. The oil industry frantically pushes back against being made to pay for their share of the carbon pollution. They insist on their private jets, giant salaries, instant layoffs for the peons and slush funds for them. They want to own the process again like they did for the last 45 years by purchasing the shills and hucksters that are still for sale. They pour money into false messages like they have for the last 50 years. Is it clear now who spent billions on climate disinformation campaigns, they are at least as bad a tobacco companies and they continue to insist on a false dialogue regarding carbon and they continue to lie and fund disinformation campaigns. Albertans need to vote for Alberta. They need to resend the message they sent just a short while ago, this is a province that belongs to all people, not a province that belongs to the oil industry or to the racists the oil companies want to put in charge. |
