Kieth, you can purchase this stock through E*TRADE using the symbol IPUCF as Ty has suggested, however, if you use this symbol, you are purchasing an OTC issue. The market makers are not the same as those of the Toronto Exchange, and more times than not, you will not get as good a deal- the currency exchange does not always coincide with the stock price. Also, IPJ traded 268,000 shares on the Toronto Exchange, while the OTC issue traded only 75,000. I've made this same mistake with PCR, and if you check the historical quotes of both issues, you will see what I mean. To purchase directly from the Toronto Exchange, you need to call E*TRADE at 1-800-786-2575 and ask to speak with a broker. The transaction will cost you $10 more, but when it comes time to sell, I think you will be glad you spent the extra ten bucks. Good luck. |
