Neoantigens are unique to cancer cells. They are complex, it seems. But so is the mechanism in mammals which leads to their recognition. The complexity on the recognition side is determined by your major histocompatibility locus (HLA in humans).

Of patients who had autologous T cells available for study, a decent fraction of their cell lines could recognize peptides which contained mutant p53 sequences. The authors believe that such patients might benefit from autologous TIL therapy.
