Nice article. Optimist?, usually.

But you can almost feel the sentiment changing in here, Intel earnings coming in OK, Sun OK, you've got MSFT and the boxmakers soon, if they come in OK, we could see a tech rally. I worry a little about IBM / currency translation. Intel actually made money with it's hedges, if IBM didn't hedge, hummm.

I think I mentioned a while back that if earnings came in good for the tech stocks, the sentiment could change from "the techs are the most exposed to Asia - sell" to "the techs have enough US and worldwide growth to overcome Asian problems, as opposed to other companies with slower growth - buy tech". Techs as a safety play, a lot of fund managers have to be in stocks, where else can they get growth this year?

Just some thoughts on a closed market day.
