Leigh,

I have read what you have posted and it is all true and correct, except for the fact that the celmat you speak of is a wood fibre product and therefore produces methanol, not ethanol.

In the past I have been a great proponent of ethanol production. I won't spend hours going on as to why, but I have had occassion to actually build a fuel ethanol plant. We used cull potatoes, available for free, and were able to produce 160 proof fuel grade ethanol. This was done as a research and production process with grant money from the state of Montana. Our small group (5 people) was successful in the
construction and operation of the plant. Once it was built, operating and people trained to run it I left the project. I can tell you with complete confidence that a product produced from waste paper products will produce methanol.

The upside is how much this form can get the municipalities to pay them to accept this "trash". The municipalities will pay big time bucks to get rid of it!
