I gauge buying patterns using one of the data bases I subscribe to, Telechart 2000. Their Balance of Power and Money Stream indicators are pretty good at profiling whether money has generally been flowing into or out of a stock. The only time you have to be wary of these indicators is when the volumn traded falls way below normal. Then they can produce false buy or sell signals. In general, however, I find them to be very accurate compared to other software programs and indicators I've used. As for whether or not a pop in BROC's price will be sustained is another question. There's no way for me to tell that.
